“…but whose delight is in the law of the Lord, and who meditates on his law day and night. That person is like a tree planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in season and whose leaf does not wither— whatever they do prospers.”
Psalm 1:2-3 NIV
God keeps reminding me to be still and be planted in Him, like a tree planted by streams of water. When I let my deadlines and “to do” lists get to me, I’m more like a stray branch, being knocked around by the wind and easily affected by everything around me.
When I take time to be still, to “plant” myself in God’s presence, listening to and trusting Him, His calm gives me peace. Planting myself to something immovable keeps me secure and whole.
Do you feel planted today, or knocked around like a stray branch? Do you need peace and calm? Do you need refreshment? Plant yourself in Him and let His living water give you true security and peace.
