Mindful Movement for Strength, Flexibility, and Stress Management
My motivation for movement, or exercise, was previously driven by outside goals. For a long time, I left out an important part—tuning in—and my health suffered.
While there is nothing wrong with goals, it’s important to not neglect listening to your body and paying attention to how you feel while moving. Whether you are doing gentle stretching, or a more challenging resistance workout with weights, learning to tune in helps you honor your health, replenish your energy, and bring calm to the body.
I offer personal mindful movement sessions which may incorporate yoga and strength training. This service is open to anyone who wants to move your body more, find joy (not punishment) in moving, increase your flexibility, and/or reduce stress. It is open to all abilities and all bodies!

Joyful Strength & Stretch Classes in Mobile, AL
A Christ-honoring, yoga-inspired practice. While Jesus was on this earth, he often took time away to be with His Father. The intention of this practice is to create space to step away from your busy lives and be with God. The calm, stillness, focus, and strength gained in a regular practice extends far beyond our time on the mat.
Joyful Strength & Stretch is a faith-based yoga class offered in Mobile, AL. This service is currently offered on Monday evenings at Christian Counseling Professionals of Mobile, LLC, located on Snow Rd; and on Friday mornings at the ROC Health and Fitness Center at Cottage Hill Baptist Church. SilverSneakers Yoga in Mobile, AL
Yoga is a great tool for strengthening the body, improving balance and flexibility, and improving health and well-being. Research demonstrates that a regular yoga practice may produce numerous physical and mental benefits.
Yoga integrates mindful awareness and breath while moving, strengthening the mind-body connection. Yoga postures are adaptable for various physical and mental states, ages, and level of activity. SilverSneakers Yoga utilizes a chair which makes it even more accessible to all bodies.
SilverSneakers Yoga classes are available at the ROC on Wednesdays and Fridays at 9:00 a.m.
